Context    I was commissioned to create the section start pages for a special issue of French feminist magazine "Causette" on the clitoris with handmade calligraphy.

Creation  To give personality and meaning to each title, I decided to use different calligraphy tools.
Allumage (spark) I made with cola pen, to reflect the excitement and urgency.
Ebullition (boiling) I made with a brush pen and paint to create natural looking stains.
Tâtonnement (experimentation) I traced with my own fingers to communicate the progressive aspect of experimentation.
